Who are they

Colt is a global digital infrastructure company known for championing innovation and sustainability. Their collaboration with the Arctic Arts Project marked a meaningful step towards showcasing their environmental initiatives, both to the public and their internal teams.

Arctic Arts is a creative project that uses powerful visual storytelling to document the effects of climate change in the Arctic and beyond. Together, they set out to show how corporate responsibility can contribute to real environmental action.

The Brief

This project had two goals. First, create an internal video to inform and inspire Colt staff about the new partnership and their role in a wider environmental mission. Then, produce a second, external-facing film to share the story publicly, communicating urgency, optimism, and the importance of corporate responsibility.

Both videos needed to connect emotionally. Colt didn’t want generic corporate messaging. They wanted something human, visually engaging, and grounded in the lived experiences of those involved.

The Output

We created two films:

  • An internal video: Featuring interviews with Arctic Arts representatives, shot at Colt’s London offices. This piece aimed to build awareness and a sense of pride among employees by highlighting Colt’s involvement in positive environmental action.
  • An external video: Centered on Colt CEO Keri Gilder, sharing the story behind the partnership and its global relevance. The tone struck a balance between urgency and hope, what the team dubbed “urgent optimism.”

To visually elevate the interview content, we used stylised colours inspired by the Arctic. For the internal video, we introduced a textured icy-blue colourama that reflected the tone and visuals of the Arctic Arts footage. For the external shoot, we opted with Colt’s teal.

The Bold Difference..

We didn’t just shoot in a corporate office and call it a day. We worked creatively with what we had, bringing visual flair to an otherwise plain setting using colouramas and lens effects that gave the footage a cool, stylised texture.

We shaped the interviews to bring out real emotion. Rather than sticking to a script, we used intentionally provocative questions designed to spark passionate, authentic responses. That paid off. These weren’t flat interviews; they were personal, impactful, and full of energy. When time was tight, we supported Colt’s CEO with scripted content, but also added impromptu interview questions on the day to keep things human and grounded.

Finally, we went beyond the brief. When a great anecdote came up mid-shoot, we edited and delivered an extra clip optimised for social media, offering added value Colt hadn’t asked for but were glad to receive.
