Director of Photography

A director of photography (DOP) is responsible for making all of the artistic and technical decisions related to the framing and composition of the shots. Often a DP will run the main camera (A-Cam) on a shoot to capture the primary footage for the film. The DP is the head of the camera department and will advise and direct other members of the camera and lighting team to make sure the footage is of the highest calibre and that tonally the footage captures the correct emotion for the film we produce with you. A DOP will have extensive knowledge of the necessary camera and lighting equipment that we need to make the most of your film project within the given budget.
