A sound operator has sole responsibility for capturing clean audio during a shoot. Having a dedicated sounder operator is often a very good idea, certainly on shoots where the sound environment will need some navigating to capture clean audio.  Our sound operators have the ability and the kit to capture multi-channel audio so that the audio is to the highest quality given the setting for filming.
