GEMS School

Promotional Video

We had a pretty specific brief for this video. We were tasked with creating interest in the school amongst families with students in grades 5-11.

In order to meet the brief, we created a long video for the school to use on their website and in email campaigns and for captive audiences. For social viewers we created numerous cutdowns focussing on specific USPs of the school. These are powerful sales tools because rather than packing all the benefits into one video we could concentrate on making one memorable message per video. The CTA would guide them to a page where they could watch the other videos or read text to learn about the other USPs.

Our KPI will be measured in an increase in interested families regarding attending the school with as increase in applications, and registrations so we designed every part of the video to make people want to take action after having watched it.

The school has some pretty strong local competition so it was our job to design a video that would focus on one of GEMS’s USPs which was their global presence.
We helped create a video which showed how attending the school will provide students with unparalleled opportunities and experiences to create a strong global citizen that can compete in this global economy.

Digging deeper into that USP we underlined how students will receive, care and compassion for each individual child, becoming part of a school family, with personalised education, appreciating world cultures.

We focus on emotive communication and we build a video that’s intended to make the audience feel a certain way about the school. For this project our desire was to make the audience feel like they want to learn more about it, like they want to attend school here or have their child attend school here. That this school is better than any other school of choice with great staff who really care and guidance for my child’s development, challenging and rigorous teaching, engaging teachers and learning, providing great experiences and opportunities.

The footage was captured in a one-day shoot in the school which included a drone and drone pilot to film the aerial views. In order to capture all the content in one day we worked closely with the school to organise all the logistics in great detail. The shoot went smoothly and we edited the content over a two week period to deliver a high quality promo that the school can use for years to come.

Although we’re a London based video production company we have worked globally and are able to call upon contacts in other countries to shoot content for us, so even in the midst of the pandemic we were able to help GEMS, a school in Connecticut.

We received this feedback from the school principal:

Your crew that we worked with yesterday was phenomenal! They were very flexible, had great ideas for the locations and guiding questions, and showed the utmost professionalism throughout what was a pretty long day.
