The Animation Process: Style Frames
Once we have finalised the script, we’ll move onto creating style frames for you. Style frames are essentially concept images designed by the animator to give you a sense of what the animation might look like.
Style frames will include text design, a colour palette, icons and other supporting illustrations.
These images give you a chance to visualise the style of your animation (2D or 3D), or motion graphic.
Once you’ve received the style frames, you can steer the look of the video to your preferred direction by providing any feedback to your animation producer. They will then incorporate any changes before moving onto the animation stage.
The images to the right show the different illustration styles that our animators can use to create the same scene in different ways.
