Animated Digital Infrastructure Report

Colt approached us with their Digital Infrastructure Report for 2023, highlighting trends across the digital landscape. They asked us to turn it into an eye-catching, easily digestible 2D animation. Colt produces a digital infrastructure report annually. This detailed report provides statistics on how IT leaders and decision-makers use intelligent infrastructure for their companies. We received the full report and were tasked with creating an engaging video showcasing its key findings.

We were given some of the key conclusions but were encouraged to be creative and had some leeway within their brand guidelines. We proposed several options that adhered to these guidelines. We suggested using animation for its potential to create interesting visualisations. We developed a bespoke collage-style infographic to help tell the report’s story. They wanted a consistent thread throughout the report to make it more digestible. Once we agreed on the styles they preferred, we moved on to scriptwriting and creating style frames.

Using the key statistics provided, we created the visuals while working on the script, demonstrating good time management. We asked Colt to specify the information they most wanted in the video. We also experimented with different script writing approaches, We experimented with various script writing approaches to find the most engaging way to present the content. We had about three weeks to complete the project. We aimed to integrate the purple, teal, and yellow colours with grey-scale elements to ensure cohesion with the report’s style. To enhance engagement, we added sound design to the animation.

The final product was a dynamic and informative 2D animation that effectively communicated Colt’s key findings in an engaging way. The project showcased our ability to work within brand guidelines while delivering creative and visually appealing content, demonstrating our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
