Trafalgar Tours is a travel company that provides guided holidays to over 200 destinations worldwide.
The Brief
We are the video production partner of Trafalgar, the world’s largest guided tour company. As part of that remit, we documented some of Trafalgar’s best “Be My Guest” experiences. In this “Be My Guest” experience we documented a fourth generation weaving workshop located in the oldest church in Perugia, Italy.
Perugia Weaving Travel Documentary
Our goal was to create a cinematic short documentary exploring an ancient and mesmerising tradition which has been passed down through three generations of the same family.
As this form of weaving is very rustic and uses lots of antique machinery it was important to show why this is still relevant as an art, we filmed Marta in her element making beautiful cloth as well as her other passion of showing guests around the machinery and the old church where she works from.
To capture all the details like grains in the wood and the brickwork we use high-end sharp lenses coupled with 4k cameras so we made sure we were showing this wonderful place in its entirety.
