Candy Ramirez is a young woman who overcame self doubt and through hard work built her own successful bakery business. We filmed this short documentary video in March 2015 for the Coca-Cola backed initiative Adelante Movement. The Adelante Movement is itself part of the broader 5by20 program which seeks to empower 5 million female entrepreneurs by 2020. Bold Content has been fortunate enough to film 10 of these inspiring entrepreneurs.
About the Adelante Movement
The Adelante Movement is a four year old community which seeks to unite and support Latina business women. The Movement is supported by Coca-Cola and part of the 5by20 initiative.
About Candy Ramirez
Candy Ramirez was a young girl when her “Nana Lupe” taught her to bake. She spent hours memorizing family cake recipes and learned to bake with pure ingredients and love. Candy aspired to run a bakery one day, but lacked formal business training and direction to make ends meet.
In 2014, she attended an event that was part of “The Adelante Movement” and The Coca-Cola Company’s 5by20 initiative, where she received business training and inspiration from other successful female entrepreneurs. Today, Candy, now 28, is a hardworking Latina business owner, social media maven and mentor who owns and runs Candy’s Cakes & More, a bakery in Tucson, Arizona.
The Result Of The Candy Ramirez Video
